Job hunting in North Laurel -tips?

I'm a remote worker and With a population of 25,201, North Laurel is a smaller city. Crime rate is something to consider -North Laurel sits at 593.4 per 100K. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much reasonable but now it's hit or miss.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Baltimore about 10 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Decent public transit for the size
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is solid.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
