Grocery stores in North Little Rock -recommendations?
Hey everyone, I'm a teacher here and Rent is about $1,028/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $169,500, which is actually reasonable. Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've lived in East for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
- The community vibe scene is average
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Bought a house here in 2020 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

Hot take but the quality of life is solid. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.
