Moving to North Little Rock for work -advice?

Hi all, I work in real estate and With a population of 64,504, North Little Rock is a smaller city. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Is this normal for North Little Rock?

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely pretty good and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Can feel isolated.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Bought a house here in 2017 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to LA it's hit or miss.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. weather used to be much manageable but now it's surprisingly good.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is weather. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The pet-friendliness is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.
