North Lynnwood vs Albuquerque -which is better?

Hey everyone, I'm single, late 50s, and The unemployment rate is 3.0%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 6.2%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -North Lynnwood sits at 273.0 per 100K. Median household income is $102,888, which feels pretty solid for the area. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Good schools
- Easy commute
- Strong sense of community

Cons:
- Cold winters
- Not very walkable
- Mosquitoes and humidity
Anyone in a similar situation? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- The housing market scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Phoenix about 13 years ago. The main reasons were school and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Four distinct seasons
- Close to major attractions
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are established, gas is pretty good.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 10 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Bought a house here in 2018 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from San Francisco about 2 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Rising rent and home prices

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are growing, gas is better than expected.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Used to live on the South side, now on the Riverside side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
