Best companies to work for in North Merritt Island?
Random thought, The median home value here is around $495,400, which is pretty steep. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Decent public transit for the size
- The cost of living scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Property taxes are high
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

My experience has been mostly positive. I'm still on the fence after all this time. The only thing I'd watch out for is traffic. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value housing market, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely better than expected and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (West) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.
I've been here 10 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is solid.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Feel free to reach out with questions..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely excellent and I've found it's exactly what I was looking for. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Not a lot of cultural diversity.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.
