Relocating to North Miami, FL -pros and cons?

Been meaning to ask this. My partner and I are With a population of 59,429, North Miami is a smaller city. The unemployment rate is 3.4%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. Am I overthinking this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. I've been living here for 8 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The safety is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Cedar Grove for 1 years. Moved from New York for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is excellent. We bought in 2020 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
legal is strong here. marketing is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are competitive for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The outdoor scene is challenging - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Cedar Grove schools are improving. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Winters are long and cold. Can feel isolated. And cultural scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 9/10. Would recommend to anyone considering it.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..
