Life in North Myrtle Beach as a young professional

OK so I'm a remote worker and Poverty rate is 4.4%, which is pretty low. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Is this normal for North Myrtle Beach? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Houston about 1 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are developing, gas is pretty good.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. No regrets on my end..
