Should I move to North Myrtle Beach or stay in Houston?
Just moved here 4 months ago and Poverty rate is 4.4%, which is pretty low. With a population of 19,343, North Myrtle Beach is a small town. Median household income is $72,111, which feels about average for the area. The unemployment rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Anyone in a similar situation? Looking forward to hearing from you all. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
