Studio apartments in North New Hyde Park -options?

Rent is about $2,283/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 1.8%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $164,340 in North New Hyde Park. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Phoenix about 3 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are competitive, gas is decent.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Hope this helps!.
