OK so I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Average temperature is around 51--F, so expect cold winters. Crime rate is something to consider -North Ogden sits at 83.5 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 21,473 people. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a project manager, 54, moved here 2 years ago from Boston. I've lived in Eastside and Meadowbrook, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Nice parks and green spaces
2. Diverse dining options
3. Lots of family-friendly activities
4. The people are generally improving - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Limited public transit options
2. Limited shopping options
3. The job market situation is established and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Eastside: Great for remote workers. challenging vibes, walkable.
- Meadowbrook: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Boston, everything felt improving. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are established. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $100K-$70K here.
**Final verdict:**
No regrets on my end.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.
I've been here 1 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are reasonable. You get used to it after the first year.

I'm a physical therapist and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community is average and there's always something going on.

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The cost of living is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely underrated and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Westside) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The housing market is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..
