Worst things about North Olmsted nobody talks about
Longtime lurker here, Just moved here 2 months ago and Rent is about $1,092/month for a decent place. It's a a smaller city city with about 32,031 people. Crime rate is something to consider -North Olmsted sits at 25.5 per 100K. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
Pros:
- Great weather
- Good job market
- Nice parks and trails
- Close to nature
- Low taxes
Cons:
- Not very walkable
- Boring for young people
- Mosquitoes and humidity

Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
