Hi all, Poverty rate is 7.9%, which is pretty low. Thoughts? Appreciate any input.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 15 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Affordable housing options
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are stable, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I genuinely enjoy living here. Internet is hit or miss in most areas.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.
