Relocating to North Plainfield, NJ -pros and cons?
Been meaning to ask this. I'm single, late 20s, and Homes are going for about $350,700 on average. It's a a small town city with about 22,667 people. Median household income is $83,529, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
