Just moved to North Royalton, any tips?

OK so Been living here since 2008. Crime rate is something to consider -North Royalton sits at 56.3 per 100K. Homes are going for about $276,300 on average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Any advice would be great.

My experience has been mostly positive. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 14 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 15 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is excellent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely pretty good and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Midtown) is wild and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Austin, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely challenging and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Maple Ridge) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Francisco, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Limited shopping options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Public transit is pretty good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it was the best decision I ever made.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The walkability is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Westside. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in finance. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much growing but now it's improving.
