Best industries in North Scituate right now

Been meaning to ask this. My partner and I are Household incomes average around $136,852 in North Scituate. With a population of 6,163, North Scituate is a small town. Median household income is $136,852, which feels pretty solid for the area. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I wrong here? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to.

Public transit is decent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I love the pace of life here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 3 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the pet-friendliness is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Pine Hills side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Maple Ridge for 8 years. Moved from Miami for weather. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is decent. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
retail is strong here. education is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I'm still on the fence after all this time. The outdoor scene is average - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Maple Ridge schools are underrated. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Winters are long and cold. Road conditions need improvement. And weather can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For couples, I'd say this is a 9/10. It's not for everyone but it works for us.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Feel free to reach out with questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Maple Ridge. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in education. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
