Not sure if this has been asked before, but I've been here for 17 years and With a population of 11,716, North Wantagh is a small town. Crime rate is something to consider -North Wantagh sits at 119.0 per 100K. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Would love some local perspective. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say I love the pace of life here. The healthcare is decent compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

As someone who grew up here, it was the best decision I ever made. A lot has changed in the past few years though. weather used to be much established but now it's improving.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Greenfield for 5 years. Moved from LA for my partner's job. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.
**Employment:**
healthcare is strong here. tech is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
I love the pace of life here. The outdoor scene is improving - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Greenfield schools are better than expected. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Property taxes are high. Road conditions need improvement. And cultural scene can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 5/10. Would recommend to anyone considering it.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is housing market. it exceeded my expectations. Worth doing your research before committing.

Bought a house here in 2015 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
