Alright, It's a a small town city with about 5,633 people. Poverty rate is 1.4%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The cultural scene is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I work in finance here and it's been a really good experience overall. The job market for my field is better than expected. No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Oak Park for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- The healthcare scene is solid
The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Four distinct seasons
- The safety scene is tough
The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. Definitely worth checking out..
