My partner and I are The median home value here is around $553,700, which is pretty steep. With a population of 6,720, Northborough is a small town. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Am I wrong here? Thanks for reading. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.
I've been here 9 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is challenging.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Meadowbrook side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Cedar Grove for 12 years. Moved from San Diego for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is challenging. We bought in 2022 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.
**Employment:**
engineering is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are wild for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it's exactly what I was looking for. The outdoor scene is excellent - we have mountains within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Cedar Grove schools are better than expected. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Rising rent and home prices. Homeless population growing downtown. And public transit can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 6/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a chef who relocated here from Atlanta about 7 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are developing, gas is pretty good.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Pine Hills area are solid. Kids love it here.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is excellent in most areas.
