Hi all, I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 34,642 people. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I wrong here? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Dallas it's tough.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. No regrets on my end..

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I have mixed feelings honestly.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
