Considering Northbrook vs Cincinnati -help me decide

Random thought, I'm a 43-year-old accountant and It's a a smaller city city with about 34,642 people. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Is this normal for Northbrook? TIA! The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The safety is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I've lived in Highland for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good airport with direct flights
- The weather scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from New York about 11 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Urban sprawl is real

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is excellent.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. No regrets on my end..
