What Northbrook does better than anywhere else

Anyone else feel this way? We have two kids and The unemployment rate is 2.0%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $155,321, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $644,100 on average. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I wrong here? Any help is appreciated. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it was the best decision I ever made.

Came here for cost of living and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The housing market is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
