Healthcare options in Northbrook?

Anyone else feel this way? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. What do you all think?

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I love the pace of life here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Pittsburgh about 2 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are pricey, gas is improving.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
