Living in Northbrook -the reality

OK so I'm a teacher here and Household incomes average around $63,486 in Northbrook. The city has invested a lot in new development. Am I overthinking this? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 9 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
