Quick question about Northfield

So, Just moved here 18 months ago and Rent is about $1,036/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $305,300, which seems about average. Average temperature is around 45--F, so bundle up in winter. Poverty rate is 4.4%, which is pretty low. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Am I overthinking this? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I've lived in The Heights for about 10 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Strong sense of community
- The outdoor recreation scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Winters are long and cold

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
