Quick question about Northglenn

Hey, I'm a 24-year-old HR manager and The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Northglenn sits at 456.6 per 100K. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Would love some local perspective. Thanks! Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Chicago about 12 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:

- Close to major attractions

- Affordable housing options

- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:

- Urban sprawl is real

- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are manageable, gas is underrated.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. No regrets on my end..
