Job hunting in Northport -tips?

Hello, You can expect to pay around $954 for rent here. Household incomes average around $77,781 in Northport. Homes are going for about $258,800 on average. The median home value here is around $258,800, which seems about average. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Has anyone dealt with this? The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in South. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in retail. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
