Best apartments in Northville under ?

I work in real estate and It's a a small town city with about 1,771 people. The median home value here is around $819,800, which is pretty steep. Median household income is $118,056, which feels pretty solid for the area. Average temperature is around 42--F, so bundle up in winter. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Close to nature
- Diverse community
- Plenty of shopping options
- Active local events

Cons:
- Hot summers
- Rising rent prices
- Lack of diversity
- Mosquitoes and humidity
- Not enough green space
Am I overthinking this? The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a HR manager, 42, moved here 2 years ago from Atlanta. I've lived in Eastside and Cedar Grove, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Decent public transit for the size
2. Strong job market in several industries
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally challenging - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Property taxes are high
2. Can feel isolated
3. The nightlife situation is wild and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Eastside: Great for remote workers. average vibes, walkable.
- Cedar Grove: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Atlanta, everything felt decent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are wild. Gas is manageable. You can live comfortably on $100K-$90K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in West. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in legal. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
