My partner and I are deciding between Norwalk and Arlington for our next move. We care most about:
- Cost of living
- Safety
- Job market (tech)
- Outdoor activities
Anyone who's lived in either or both — which would you choose and why?

I've lived in Maple Heights for 8 years and it's a hidden gem honestly.

Check out the Southside area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

I'd add that the parks here are amazing for families. Otherwise spot on!

Coming from Seattle, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are cheaper.

Been here 20 years. The city has changed a lot but overall for the better.

The job market has been improving lately. Several government companies moved in recently.

Downtown is overrated and overpriced. The suburbs offer way better value.

Don't sleep on Old Town. It's up and coming and still affordable.

Rent tip: look for places in October-November. Prices drop and there's more availability.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

As someone who moved here from Houston, I can confirm most of this. The friendliness of people surprised me the most.
