Working remotely from Norwalk

Alright, I work in education and With a population of 91,375, Norwalk is a smaller city. Household incomes average around $105,301 in Norwalk. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Is this normal for Norwalk? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Charlotte about 10 years ago. The main reasons were work and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are affordable, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I love the pace of life here. Hope this helps!.
