Raising a family in Norwalk -thoughts?

So, I'm a teacher here and It's a a small town city with about 13,610 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Meadowbrook. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
