First time home buyer in Norwich

Hey folks, I work in tech and Homes are going for about $231,300 on average. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Dallas about 4 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Chain restaurants dominate

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
