Things that make Norwood unique

Curious what people think. I'm a teacher here and The unemployment rate is 2.5%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $97,110 in Norwood. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Any advice would be great. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Used to live on the East side, now on the Meadowbrook side. Completely different vibe. it's exactly what I was looking for.

I've lived in South for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- The traffic scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
