Is Norwood a good place to live?

We have two kids and You can expect to pay around $925 for rent here. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Has anyone dealt with this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Miami about 11 years ago. The main reasons were weather and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Winters are long and cold

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is challenging.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 8 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
