Just moved to Novato, any tips?

Curious what people think. I relocated for work and The median home value here is around $1,007,100, which is pretty steep. It's a a smaller city city with about 52,689 people. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Has anyone dealt with this? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 10 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..
