Things Novato needs to improve

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm a remote worker and The median home value here is around $1,007,100, which is pretty steep. Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. Poverty rate is 5.3%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Any help is appreciated. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's exactly what I was looking for. Definitely worth checking out..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.

I've been here 11 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
