What surprised you most about Nunda?

Hey, My family moved here when I was a kid. With a population of 1,291, Nunda is a small town. The median home value here is around $112,000, which is actually reasonable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Anyone in a similar situation? Any help is appreciated. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cultural scene. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a nurse who relocated here from Seattle about 11 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Affordable housing options
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are wild, gas is decent.

Socially, it's not perfect but it works for me. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.
