Oak Grove quality of life -am I missing something?
Random thought, The unemployment rate is 5.5%, which is about average. Median household income is $105,069, which feels pretty solid for the area. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Thoughts? The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Moved here from Nashville about 12 years ago. I genuinely enjoy living here. Still getting used to walkability but It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'm a accountant and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community is decent and there's always something going on.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value outdoor recreation, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely pretty good and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Downtown) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
