Oak Grove quality of life -am I missing something?

So, Median household income is $81,611, which feels pretty solid for the area. Am I overthinking this?

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much wild but now it's pretty good.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value weather, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (West) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. weather is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
