First post here. I'm originally from Dallas and Homes are going for about $198,500 on average. Crime rate is something to consider -Oak Park sits at 242.8 per 100K. Rent is about $1,354/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 6.7%, which is concerning. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Appreciate any input. The food scene here is surprisingly good.
