Not sure if this has been asked before, but Household incomes average around $100,417 in Oakfield. The suburbs are where most families end up. Is this normal for Oakfield? Cheers.

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.

The food scene here is hit or miss. Tons of great Italian places. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in Eastside for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The housing market scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. Feel free to reach out with questions..
