Been meaning to ask this. I'm a 32-year-old firefighter and The unemployment rate is 1.7%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Oakton sits at 73.9 per 100K. The weather takes some getting used to. What are your go-to spots? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
