Anyone else love living in Ocala?

Alright, Been living here since 2017. The median home value here is around $219,900, which is actually reasonable. Median household income is $53,520, which feels on the lower side for the area. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Does this match your experience?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Atlanta about 7 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are established, gas is tough.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Hope this helps!.

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.
