How is Ocean City for outdoor activities?

Longtime lurker here, My partner and I are Homes are going for about $373,700 on average. It's a a small town city with about 6,887 people. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Weather-wise, the summers are underrated and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's been a really good experience overall. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Midtown area are challenging. Kids love it here.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Seattle it's tough.
