We have two kids and You can expect to pay around $3,347 for rent here. With a population of 16,276, Ocean Pointe is a small town. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Is this normal for Ocean Pointe? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

I work in real estate here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is average. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in North. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.
People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Southern.
