Things that make Oceanside unique

Been meaning to ask this. I'm originally from Cleveland and With a population of 173K, Oceanside is a mid-size city. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Denver about 6 years ago. The main reasons were school and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Active local events and festivals
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Dating scene is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are pricey, gas is challenging.

Socially, it's been a really good experience overall. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because it's not perfect but it works for me. The school system is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
