Alright, Born and raised here. It's a a smaller city city with about 31,907 people. The median home value here is around $626,700, which is pretty steep. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Thoughts? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Moved here from Denver about 2 years ago. I have mixed feelings honestly. Still getting used to job market but Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.
I've been here 8 years and the quality of life is solid. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
No regrets on my end..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
