Ocoee is underrated, change my mind

Just moved here 2 months ago and Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. It's a a smaller city city with about 47,885 people. Median household income is $93,292, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Ocoee sits at 313.4 per 100K. Rent is about $1,858/month for a decent place. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Growing food scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Plenty of shopping options

Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- Not very walkable
- Far from major airports
- Not enough green space
What do you all think? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely underrated and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Midtown) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Homeless population growing downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
