Relocating to Oconomowoc, WI -pros and cons?
Hey, I'm retired and Crime rate is something to consider -Oconomowoc sits at 76.6 per 100K.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from Chicago about 10 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are reasonable, gas is average.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Good luck with whatever you decide..
