Studio apartments in Odessa -options?

Random thought, We have two kids and Poverty rate is 11.6%, which is around average. Median household income is $73,030, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Odessa sits at 1,038.3 per 100K. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Pros:
- Friendly people
- Good schools
- Easy commute

Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Sprawl everywhere
- Homelessness issues downtown
Is this normal for Odessa? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Cedar Grove for 15 years. Moved from Seattle for retirement. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is hit or miss. We bought in 2021 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
engineering is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are developing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it exceeded my expectations. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have state parks within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Cedar Grove schools are better than expected. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Rising rent and home prices. And pet-friendliness can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 8/10. Happy to answer more specific questions.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
