Curious what people think. Just moved here 10 months ago and Homes are going for about $274,100 on average. Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. With a population of 32,139, O'Fallon is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,312/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Would love some local perspective. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. weather used to be much affordable but now it's tough.
