Curious what people think. Just moved here 10 months ago and Homes are going for about $274,100 on average. Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. With a population of 32,139, O'Fallon is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,312/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Would love some local perspective. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Used to live on the Oak Park side, now on the Greenfield side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

The food scene here is pretty good. Tons of great farm-to-table places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cultural scene, then yeah this place is great. But if weather matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
